Meet James Wallace

James Wallace has spent the better part of two decades on stages across Eastern Canada — the kind of player who can hold a listening room silent with a single guitar, then, an hour later, fill a dance floor with a four-piece band. His music lives where roots, soul and folk meet the classic songbook: familiar enough to sing along to, played with enough craft to make people lean in.

Raised on his parents' record collection and shaped by years of club, festival and private-event work, James built a reputation as a musician who reads a room. Booking clients return to him because he is reliable, adaptable and genuinely good company — as comfortable providing elegant background music for a cocktail hour as he is headlining a summer festival stage.

James performs in four distinct formats — Solo, Duo, Trio and Full Band — each with its own character rather than simply a bigger version of the last. The bilingual repertoire spans English and French-language material and reaches from the 1960s to today, with room for requests and a set list tailored to each event.
